A nice surprise occurred when, after speaking to him on a break, he invited me to sit in with him! We really had a great time playing a few standards and let me assure you - he can hold his own in that realm too. I hope to get the chance to see him play again someday soon - he's one of the greats in my book! I’ve only seen Pete once and I was totally blown away.
