Since NAMM is next week, time has been of the essence, but here is the 2nd part of the most popular post so far.

  • A Guitarist’s Notebook – A great website by a jazz guitarist from Detroit.  Useful stuff, but it takes some work with the material to get some results.
  • Sibelius – The best notation software out there. Period.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am an employee of National Guitar Workshop and I am affiliated with WorkshopLive.com.  However, I do believe these are the best products/services available.

  • National Guitar Workshop – Quite simply, the best musical summer workshop on the planet.  NGW offers locations nationwide, a fully developed curriculum in many styles, premier guest artist (who many times only do clinics with NGW) and a faculty that is second to none.  I would also recommend checking out NGW’s Social Community for more referals from past alumni.
  • WorkshopLive – With the announcement of Apple’s GarageBand Lessons yesterday, there will be increased exposure in the near future about learning an instrument online.  WorkshopLive has over 10,000 video lessons on a HUGE number of topics.  Many of the teachers are faculty with NGW and are very accessible.  Recently they have launched special micro-sites with Joe Satriani and George Benson.  Highly Reccommended.

Well, there is my list.  And yours?

Also, is anyone going to NAMM?  What should I see while I am there?  Leave comments below.
